LDA Barnwell Point: cost rental housing with Occu

On behalf of the Land Development Agency (LDA), Occu is delighted to present Barnwell Point. Located adjacent to Hansfield Train Station and a short stroll away from Ongar Village. Barnwell Point is only a short distance south of the M3 Motorway and access to the M50 Motorway is via the Blanchardstown interchange – only a matter of minutes away.

Barnwell Point is Occu’s first Cost Rental location and we are thrilled to be working on behalf of the LDA to manage the leasing and property management of this LDA Cost Rental scheme. The LDA is offering apartments for rent under this Cost Rental application process, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria detailed on their website.

Cost Rental is a new housing tenure that was created under the Affordable Housing Act 2021. It offers a long-term, secure rental option that will contribute to the development of a sustainable housing market in Ireland which provides choice across all tenures. The rent on these units is based on the cost of building, managing, and maintaining the homes.

The Cost Rental scheme at Barnwell Point comprises 247 apartments with a mix of Studio apartments, one-bed apartments and two-bed apartments with rents from €1,050 per calendar month for a Studio Apartment.

The apartments are provided unfurnished with:

• Fully fitted kitchen and white goods.
• Integrated wardrobes in double rooms.
• Bathroom fittings.
• Blinds and flooring throughout.
• Highly efficient A rated apartments
• Centralised heating system

Registration for Barnwell Point opens at 12 noon on Thursday 18th January 2024 and closes at 12 noon on Thursday 25th January 2024. Applicants who have also applied for previous LDA cost rental developments may apply for Barnwell Point Apartments.
